Dog Licenses now due

Any dog six months or older is required to be licensed yearly with Newton Town. All dogs that live in Newton (regardless of ownership) are required to be licensed. Dogs can be licensed at the Newton Town Hall every Monday & Wednesday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Wednesday evenings February thru March from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.   Dogs are required to be licensed even if they stay inside your home or never leave your yard. Proof of a rabies vaccination is requiredAll dogs must be licensed starting January 1 and shall be delinquent after April 1 of each year. Delinquent payments shall double the licensing fee. Owners will be issued a citation for failure to have his /her dog properly licensed. Also, please remember that three or more dogs require a conditional use permit and kennel license. Newton Town’s animal control services are provided by the Cache County Sheriff Dept. Please call the Sheriff dispatch at 716-9400 to report a problem with animals.
